In 2014, Japan’s largest inbound and outbound travel shows were integrated to form the new JATA Tourism EXPO Japan. The event was a huge success with exhibitors from 151 countries and regions around the world, including 47 prefectures in Japan. A total of 157,589 visitors attended.

U.S. inbound travel from Japan reached over 3.75 million in 2015 which is a 4% increase over 2014 and is projected to increase 1% by 2020. (USDOC/OTTI)
